Rifle Division

The Rifle Division of the Central Empire State Rifle and Pistol League currently does not have formal competitions. However, member clubs of Oneonta, Rockdale, and Delhi do participate in the New York State Sporterifle League.Sporterifle is an off-hand light rifle competition fired at 50 feet on the indoor ranges using 22 caliber rimfire rifles. Teams compete in postal competition with other teams throughout the state during the fall and winter. The sport does not require special equipment and is designed so the entire family can participate. Junior shooters can begin participating at age 12.
