Junior Program

In 2010-2011 the League began supporting a junior Bullseye Pistol program. This program is targeted for youth age 12 to 20. Several League members have worked to obtain their NRA Certified Instructor and Range Safety Officer credentials in support of expanding this program.

The initial season centered around a group of juniors at the Walton Club. The season started with 4 juniors and ended with 10. It was a huge success!

For the 2011-2012 season the league is looking so try to start at least one more junior team. Delhi and Oneonta are most likely sites, but do not hesitate to contact us if you live in the area of any of the clubs in the League. Contact can be made by using the "Contact Us" form. We welcome interest from individuals, groups (Scouts, Explorers, 4H, etc.) as well as sponsors.

Two goals are being considered for the upcoming season. First to field a second team so we can being having a postal competition for juniors. Second is the incorporation of the Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program for junior shooters. This program emphasizes marksmanship with an immediate awards program as each level of marksmanship is achieved.
